We are sisters and best friends. For years we have been trying to figure out a way to merge our interests and find a business\hobby we could do together. Although we have many differences, one of the things we have in common is our love for the outdoors and cool t-shirts.
It didn’t take long for us to come up with the idea for “Get Outside” t-shirts.
Getting outside is something we are passionate about and want to encourage others to do. It doesn’t matter if you are hiking, kayaking, camping, visiting wineries, playing golf or lying in a hammock reading a book....we think life is just better outside.
We want to promote this lifestyle and teach our children to follow in our footsteps.
Get Outside apparel and accessories help us spread this important message in a stylish way!!
Charity, the older sister (you know I had to throw that out there), has a 4 year old daughter named Lucy and is a newlywed (woohoo!!). Her husband, Mike, is super awesome and has been a huge supporter in this business endeavor. Charity is the more responsible sister. The organized one and the one that helps this business make decisions and stick to them (thank goodness). She loves camping, kayaking, going to concerts and spending time with her family. Oh and she loves clothes and of course, looks good in everything!
I (Shannon) have 2 boys and have been married for a looooong time (kidding, but not kidding). My husband, Jason, shares my love of the outdoors and is a terrific father to our boys. I am the scatterbrained sister (thanks mom) and the wild one (I am 40 now so I use this term loosely). I am a bit more social and like to think I contribute some creativity and business sense to this thing we are doing. I LOVE being outside and always have! Luckily, I have a family that also values being active and doing and seeing as much as we can in this short life.
Charity and I share the same friend group and I have to say these girls are the kind of girls that make us feel lucky to have them by our side. We also share the same parents (duh) and certainly have learned so much about hard work from them. Our mom was such a great role-model for us and continues to exhibit kindness everywhere she goes. How can you not appreciate life when you wake up each day to someone telling you how lucky you are to have one more day?!
Our favorite saying “You keep me safe, I’ll keep you wild” describes us perfectly.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story!
